Recycling the glass bottles is great though. The US doesn’t do it but when I was in Europe, I encountered the practice occasionally. It makes great sense. Just guessing, its probably more energy efficient to reuse a glass bottle and recap it (the European ones had screw off plastic caps) than to create new plastic bottles. –sighs– Someday maybe…

Does not look like India…pay attention to the bottles in the 3rd picture: They have writing in Arabic/Urdu … Labeling in India is only in english!

The US used to reuse glass bottles – I still remember my mother taking crates of empties back to the grocery store for the deposit refund.

Mom and Dad would occasionally find a cigarette butt in the bottle, among other things. It is far cheaper, in today’s litigious society, to recycle glass bottles rather than reuse them and risk this kind of contamination.

If they really wanted to make money, why not invent their own flavors and jumpstart their own small buisness? Why be lazy and piggyback on someone else’s reputation?

in fact next time you have an infected cut put some sugar syrup or better still honey on it, it will speed the healing.

Under no circumstances is sugar a disinfectant. Salt would have a better chance.
Honey on a cut will work, but only because of the nature macrobiotic nature of the food itself. Not because of the sugar.

recycling a glass bottle only wastes more energy than creating a plastic one if you re-melt the glass. if the bottle is returned and washed as they used to be, it uses considerably less energy and has a very much smaller environmental impact overall than creating a new plastic one.
As I said sugar dehydrates bacteria and therefore kills them, it is why it is such an effective preservative! honey is even better because of it’s low water activity (see Wiki)
salt kills bacteria the same way ie. dehydration. saying “honey is better due to it,s macrobiotic nature” is a meaningless statement, and I suggest you look up the meaning of macrobiotic before talking pseudo science.
